My eSIM QR code came by email. Do I scan it before I fly or after I land?

Flying to Toronto next week for my master's. I don't want to mess up the eSIM by installing it too early. What did you all do?

Install it before you fly. I scanned the QR code at home over Wi-Fi, and calls, texts and data worked the moment I landed. No roaming, no queue at the airport.
Just keep your home SIM on too until you leave, so you still get your bank's OTPs.

Priya's right. Your QR code and the steps come by email after you buy, and once it's scanned your connection is usually ready within a few minutes. You'll also find the code in your account under My SIM.
