It breaks down as CAD 22,895 for the Student GIC, a CAD 150 non-refundable program and incoming wire fee, and a CAD 5 buffer. The CAD 22,895 reflects IRCC's financial requirements for students outside Quebec.
Not at the moment: a Student GIC for Quebec isn't available under the BMO NewStart Pre-Arrival Program. You can choose the Banking Only option and deposit the equivalent funds to receive a Deposit Confirmation Letter (DCL).
Refunds take 2–4 weeks. Send a completed refund form, your IRCC visa rejection letter, a passport copy and your GIC Certificate to refunds.newstart@bmo.com through the BMO Secure Message Centre.
